Site Selection magazine names Toledo No. 1 for new business investment
Site Selection Magazine has named Toledo number one for new business investment for metropolitan areas with populations between 200,000 and one million. There are approximately $2.2 billion worth of projects currently underway or recently completed that are expected to create nearly 3,5oo new permanent jobs and 1,079 new residential units.
While Toledo has placed in the top ten for the past five years, 2020 was the first year Toledo, along with Savannah, GA, was able to take home the number one ranking. The region had 30 qualifying projects. The magazine named Findlay the number one overall micropolitan for the seventh year in a row. Additionally, Ohio was named number one by the magazine’s Governor’s Cup 2020 for bringing more new corporate facility projects per capita than any other state in the nation.
Dean Monske, president and CEO of the Regional Growth Partnership, said “This recognition for us at the Regional Growth Partnership is incredibly important because it allows us to tell the story, to market the region, and in turn attract even more investment and more new jobs.”
We are thrilled to be receiving the recognition for the hard work happening in our region. If you’re interested in downtown Toledo or our region, please contact Paul Toth, president, or Cindy Kerr, vice president, for more information.
